Seconds4Good (S4G) is a non‐profit NGO committed to saving mothers’ lives across Nigeria. We focus on measurable, sustainable community‐based programs that address the urgent problem of maternal death. By bringing together partners, experts, and local communities, we strive to create real and lasting impact.

We work through three main pillars to achieve our mission:

Sensitization & Education

We raise awareness about maternal health risks and equip women and families with vital knowledge—the importance of antenatal care, danger signs during pregnancy, and safe birth practices.

Advocacy

We engage with policymakers, health institutions, and community stakeholders to push for better policies, resources, and systems that protect mothers and ensure safe childbirth.

Programmes & Partnerships

We partner with local and international organizations to implement programs that deliver on‐the‐ground support—healthcare access, training for birth attendants, and targeted interventions where maternal mortality is highest.

Seconds4Good was founded by Maureen Ideozu, who brings personal experience and passion to the cause. Having survived two of the leading causes of maternal mortality, she was driven to build something that could prevent others from enduring similar losses. This deeply personal connection fuels S4G’s commitment to transforming policies, practices, and perceptions around childbirth in Nigeria

We are dedicated to sustainable change: not just short‐term interventions, but programs designed to endure.

We believe in measurable impact: tracking our progress to ensure we are making a real difference.

We emphasize community involvement: raising awareness and ownership at the grassroots so solutions are relevant, accepted, and effective.
